Agent guide: how to get listings approved on the first review

Our operations team rejects incomplete listings every day. Here is the checklist our reviewers use — so your property goes live faster.

DDM Verify is not a free-for-all listing site. Every property is reviewed by our operations team before it appears as verified on the public marketplace. Rejections slow everyone down — here is how to get approved on the first pass.

The reviewer checklist

When you submit a listing, we look for:

  1. Accurate title — plot or house number, ward, and a price in TZS that matches the segment (land vs finished house).
  2. Primary photo that shows the actual asset — not a stock image or a different project. Photos are watermarked automatically on upload to protect your media.
  3. Title deed or occupancy licence scan — readable, full page, not cropped so tightly we cannot read the plot number.
  4. Category-appropriate fields — bedrooms for homes, sqm and road access for land, parking for commercial.

Common rejection reasons

Issue Fix
Price says "negotiable" with no number Enter a realistic asking price; note flexibility in description
Same plot listed twice Withdraw duplicate or contact support to merge
Blurry deed photo Rescan in daylight or upload PDF from lawyer
Wrong category Land listed as apartment — change category before submit

Video walkthroughs

Optional video tours help diaspora buyers. Videos receive the same DDM Verify watermark as photos. Keep clips under three minutes and show access road, boundaries, and structure — not only the living room.

After approval

  • Respond to inquiries within 24 hours where possible.
  • Honour viewing codes — buyers earn trust when agents confirm attendance properly.
  • Update status if the property sells off-platform so buyers do not waste trips.
